Statement:
"Ask my Mama, I've been drawing since I could hold a pencil.  I started finger painting when I was a baby and from there I really fell in love with drawing.  After doing a lot of self teaching and learning with the guidance of some awesome public school art teachers (Mr. Sparky, Mrs. Sailor, Mrs. Baars), I feel like I developed a real skill in drawing what I saw.  I'm from a small town (Douglas, GA) of about 7,500 people or so, so there wasn't-and still isn't- a lot of education for art.  At the conclusion of high school I turned down several scholarships from art institutes, design schools, and art departments from across the country to pursue a degree in History with a minor in Political Science.

It wasn't until my Junior year of college at Kennesaw State University when I was studying for the LSAT's that I first got the urge to create abstract artwork.

Since then, I feel like all of my work has improved...its definitely helped me develop as an artist.  When I create abstract work I start with an emotion or a message...from there I allow that energy to take over.  Most of the time the pieces are effortless, almost creating themselves.

I feel like the best quality I have as a painter or drawer is that I create quickly, rarely spending more  than 6 or 7 hours on each piece, and often creating average size works in just an hour or so.  Its important for me to get the idea from my head to the paper as soon as possible.   Some days I can produce 8-10 quality pieces.

When creating a piece of art I strive for two things, emotion and imagination. I want my audience to feel a feeling when they observe my work, and I want them to imagine something beyond just what they see.  I want them to take it another step from where I left it.  I want them to ask questions and make their own answers.

I really cant thank you enough for checking out my site and I really hope you buy something, I spend hours each day creating something special and I often donate my works to charity events across the country, so your support is greatly appreciated."
